Health Investment

What is your health worth to you?   Is getting another body an alternative to a failing to

care for the one you have?  Chances are, if you are visiting this website,

you are interested in your health and the cost of services is a consideration.

Many people have insurance coverage that subsidizes the cost of naturopathic medical care.

·          If your insurance covers any licensed physician in Arizona, your insurance provider is required to cover the services of a licensed naturopathic physician.

·          If you have HMO coverage, the providers are controlled. You will need to investigate the prospects for reimbursement for naturopathic medical treatment.

·          Some policies cover the cost of naturopathic care under “out of network provider” clauses.

·          Many insurance companies cover the cost of diagnostic testing at their usual rate when prescribed by a licensed Arizona physician, including licensed naturopathic physicians.

·          Nutriceuticals and homeopathic remedies are rarely covered under any insurance policy.

·          Prescriptions for legend pharmaceuticals are covered if that is an aspect of your coverage.

·          Federal Medicare/Medicaid will not reimburse alternative/complementary/naturopathic medical care of any kind in the United States.

If your employer provides you coverage, encourage your employer to include alternative/complimentary medical services as part of your coverage if they don’t

already.  You may be surprised to find that many plans do have some form of coverage.  Another option is selecting plans with a high deductible to cover catastrophic medical services.  With the money you save on premiums, you can purchase out of pocket those medical services that would better serve you that are currently not reimbursed by

insurance providers.

My office provides all patients with a receipt that lists all of the diagnosis codes and information regarding my legal and business status needed to submit insurance claims.  This information is requested from all insurance providers as part of their

reimbursement process.  Patients submit this receipt to their provider for the

processing of the claim.

My terms of service require payment at the delivery of services.  My office accepts cash, check or credit cards, and many patients find that insurance reimbursement arrives

before the your bank statement.  Operating a small business requires balancing quality service with the operation overhead.  Of course, I am always willing to discuss the cost

of care, so do not be deterred from asking.

From a cost-to-benefit perspective, naturopathic medical care is possibly the best value in health care available.   The impact on the quality of your life, the long-term savings of preventive medicine, and the sense of security you obtain from naturopathic

approaches to wellness are immeasurable and priceless.

I encourage you to contact me to discuss how naturopathic medicine can serve your

health and medical needs.
