Maybe it’s time you investigated a new approach to healthcare.

Naturopathic medicine is based on the principle that the body has an inherent ability to heal itself.  Naturopathic medicine seeks to enable and support that dynamic.

Because of its “high-through-put” economic model, practitioners of mainstream medicine tend to rely entirely on protocols.  In other words, Symptoms A plus B equals Treatment C.  Treatment is often limited to prescription drugs which suppress symptoms, followed by more drugs to suppress the side-effects.

In contrast, naturopaths are trained to spend time with you.  A well-trained naturopath will determine the underlying cause of your symptoms based on your medical history, diet, modern diagnostic testing, and the same “differential diagnosis” method employed by allopathic physicians.  A naturopath will then formulate an individualized and multi-faceted treatment plan that treats the cause of disease, rather than the symptoms.

Naturopathic medicine works best when the physician takes the whole person into account.  You are more than a grouping of organ systems.  If your physician doesn’t consider how your organ systems work together and how your unique emotional and spiritual make-up affects your health and your ability to heal yourself, maybe it’s time to move in a new direction.
